2ml crimp vials are tightly secured with aluminum crimp caps using a crimping tool ( Crimper and Decapper). Crimping caps are made out of aluminum making them cheap when compared to screw caps. Crimp-caps are one-time uses only and not reusable; they feature long-term storage for GC applications. Typically crimping is done best with volatile compounds like GC/MS, where reagent stability is less of an issue (for example if you’re working with solvents that you will evaporate off). On the other hand, crimp cap seals are more affordable than screw caps which usually cater to LC or LC/MS applications.

We recommend using a crimp-cap vial if you are working with volatile compounds.
Glass and PP material available. In addition, Polypropylene vials are an excellent choice for biological applications. In particular, they are used to store samples that contain a high concentration of metals because these can cause contamination.
